Beautiful, show-stopper, easy. Three words that describe this baked brie. Or me. (OK, I may hit two of the three on a fun day.)
Ingredients:
4.5 oz. of brie cheese
Honey
Blueberries
Fresh basil
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350. Score the top of the brie rind (cut shallow slices across it) and cover with honey, blueberries and chopped basil.
Place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or in a small crock or oven-safe dish.
Cook & Serve:
Cook for 12 minutes. Brie should be soft and hot, but not entirely melted. Serve with crusty bread, crackers, apple slices or another "delivery device" that can withstand a thick, spreadable cheese.
A Little Backstory:
Not a lot of magic here, folks. Just a nice, warm appetizer that puts those standard cheese-and-cracker plates to shame. Much of cooking well is in preparing delicious things with a simple and elegant presentation, and this one scores high.
