Ingredients:
1 peach per person
Honey
Chopped fresh basil
Preparation:
Heat the grill or a grill-pan on your stovetop, medium-high. Wash and slice peaches in half, discarding pit.
Cook & Serve:
Grill peaches skin-side up until golden-char marks form on peach. Serve warm, drizzled with honey and a sprinkle of basil. ANOTHER OPTION: Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with balsamic vinegar.
A Little Backstory:
"Wha--? You can grill fruit?" I get that a lot. And yes, you can and you should. My favorites: peaches, plums and pineapples. Not just a nifty alliteration, also an elegant dessert or side dish.
