Homemade Baileys (Irish Cream)

I love to make this around Christmas and call it George Baileys. Because it makes for a wonderful life, and whoever drinks it will be the richest (wo)man in town. This recipe fills about one and a half 750 ML bottles, for about half the price of one bottle of Baileys.

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream

14 oz. sweetened condensed milk

1 2/3 cup Irish whiskey (I'd recommend Jameson or 2 Gingers)

3 Tablespoons chocolate syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon instant coffee (not prepared - the "grounds" without water)

Preparation:

Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth and mixed.

Cook & Serve:

That's it. Pour into a glass bottle and store in refrigerator for up to two months. (It won't last that long.) Shake before serving; it may separate.

A Little Backstory:

I make bottles of this every December to keep on hand for guests and to give away as gifts to friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. Sure, you can hand someone a bottle of Baileys from the store and they'll appreciate it. But they'll love it if it's homemade. (Don't tell them how super simple it is to make.)
